Who We Are

Keystone Land and Livestock manages grass-fed cattle across over 4,700 acres of grassland, oak savanna and chaparral in the Sutter Buttes mountain range. We practice adaptive rotational grazing, which produces healthy cattle and resilient, productive, and biodiverse grasslands.

Keystone species such as Wolves, Salmon, and Beaver increase the resilience, diversity and abundance of the landscapes they inhabit. At Keystone Land and Livestock we aim to fulfill our role as a keystone species by caring for the places we call home. We manage livestock to emulate the ecological processes that have been occurring here for millenia to improve the health and vitality of grasslands.
